To quote Bruce Willis' character in The Kid:
Somebody better call the WAAAAHHHHmbulance.
Fuel has a comment in his blog that just cracked me up, on his second post about how he busted from the Big Game:
When you raise, get reraised and then the reraiser get rereraised you MUST fold all hands other than AA. (Perhaps the only caveat is if you are ultrashort or it's the late stages of a tournament).

It's just that fawking simple. And until you fully understand why this is so you will never become a great poker player.
Well here's a newsflash - this is not necessarily a goal that you share with your blogger brethren.
Again, here's another big difference in online vs live poker. Live poker is all about a million visual cues: how someone is dressed, how they carry themselves, how they speak; all of these things give your subconscious cues as to how that person operates, ie. are they serious, or having a giggle?

Online...not so much. So you make erroneous assumptions, that the game means the same to your opponents that it does to you.

Sometimes I play a $6+.50 Turbo SnG because it's all I can afford, and I'm trying to rebuild a bankroll again. Sometimes I play them because it's a quick poker fix before I do something else. And sometimes it's because for one reason or another, I just don't give a fuck and want to work out some stupidity/aggression/anger in a controlled stupid environment (I've run out of cheap breakables).

Case in point the following hand history. Stupid pays off sometimes, and yes I know it's a crushing blow to reason when it does, but it still does.

Full Tilt Poker Game #3935597500: $6 + $0.50 Sit & Go (Turbo) (29940068), Table 1 - 40/80 - No Limit Hold'em - 19:02:38 ET - 2007/10/22

To quote another movie:
Lighten up, Francis.
Or don't. Sour grapes are such good conversation starters when shared. I should know *grin. So should Waffles.

And on that note, I'm logging off my free wifi, and heading down to watch my beloved work his audio mojo. GL to all at the MATH!

Can I send you the drycleaning bill for the vomit on my sweater. Don't be so damn Canadian.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you raise, get re-raised, then raise again and get re-re-re-raised all-in... in most cases, wouldn't you be getting amazing odds to call? Even if you knew you were up against AA?

You're ... wrong. You have to be getting better than 4.5:1 to make that call vs. faceup aces.
