You know, I KNEW I should have folded the pocket sevens when in BB. Especially when Hoyazo goes all in before me.
But dammit...I was short stacked and he's done that a lot before....he can't have had good hands ALL the damn time.
Well, the awfukkits hit me at the wrong moment, and now I'm so furious at myself I can hardly type. Out 9th of 43 when his QQ held. I know I should be pleased that I made final table in one of the Gemini games, and played very respectably. But I'm too busy tilting.
I did play well though. Mostly. Well, it was a well played tourney if you don't count the suckouts. And overbets. And underbets.
Sigh. I think I'm down to only 2 lives left.

Sounds like you need one of these!
I think your 77 was definitely the right call, and you just got burned. I could tell you were really pondering the move, and I was sad to see you go like that believe me. But you can't really put me on better than a 77 in that situation, not with the way I had been playing yesterday. And on a relatively short stack, that had to be the right move, even assuming you were a slight favorite in a race. I would have definitely called my allin in that situation from your shoes.
I just can't believe I won anything with the Hilton biatches, or that any hand of mine held up from preflop through the entire board.
hi kat,
Sat at your table at WWdN a few times...also a Canuck though living in the staes...reading your stuff makes me a homesick in a good way.
Read about the hand that Hoya took you out on from his blog. For what its worth, i think you had to call there, shortstacked and holding 77 at those blinds.
Plus the Hoy itself is a new and unfamiliar weapon...there's no shame in falling victim to it! GL out there, see ya Tuesdsay at WWdN
