If all goes according to plan, at this time in precisely three weeks, I will be lying in a hotel bed, one arm flung over my eyes to keep out any painful vestiges of daylight that manage to infiltrate through the curtains. My mouth will be dry, my head will be pounding, and my stomach lurching every time I think of something as innocuous as juice or coffee. And one or all of the following statements will be floating through my head:
If you've not yet planned your poker getaway to the Great White North, get on it. Count this as your invitation - the more the merrier!

- In retrospect, that last shot of _______ (insert alcohol here) was not such a good idea (accompanied by a pitiful whimper).
- Oh good lord did I really say/do that? And do I need to apologise for it? (accompanied by an oh-not-again kind of groan).
- __________ (insert name here) has a very nice ass (accompanied by a slight smile).
- Please tell me that someone did / did not get a picture of that.
- I dunno...did I lose money? or win some?
- Hot damn! that was a blast!
