Wow.
Out in 19 minutes.
And the only reason why I'm upset I bounced so early is because I really love the fun, no-pressure blogger game and figured that I'd get at least an hour worth of chat-box banter for my ten bucks *grin.
Perhaps my time would have been better spent this afternoon reading up on Omaha, rather than giving myself a pedicure. But then again, sometimes you have to do the girlie things to feel fabulous on a grey winter day.
Well I have a week to figure out how to play Omaha and last longer than 19 minutes. Any reading suggestions?

Top tip from my experience tonight - don't forget you can only play two hole cards! I thought I had a boat, when I only had a set! Mind you, I was ahead until the other guy rivered a straight! Oh, well, back to Hold'em!
Auto-fold, baby.
Almost played it today . . . will definitely be there for one of these soon.
If you have Super/System 2, Lyle Berman's short chap. in there about PLO isn't a bad intro (imo). The PLO regulars find it simple/too tight, but there are a few nuggets in there w/which to start, I think.
Oh, and Mark of Plan3tGong has a new Omaha site called omahaplanet w/a bunch of PLO strategy stuff. I haven't really looked at the site, but I always like his PLO posts.
Thanks for playing!
Kat, for Xmas my wife gave me the book "Championship Omaha" by T.J. Cloutier and Tom McEvoy. The writing style is a bit too "folksy" for my taste, but they do give some good tips, or at least they sound good to me.
I'm sure there are other good Omaha books out there, they just aren't nearly as numerous as Hold 'Em books.
You finished 19th? You lasted longer than I did, but then I was so card dead it wasn't funny. Maybe next time both of us will make it deeper into the tourney!
Oops - you lasted 19 minutes, not to 19th place? Sorry, I need to improve my reading skills. I change my disposal contact lenses tomorrow, maybe that will help.
