The new perky staff member has gone behind my back to one of the principals, and misrepresented the facts to make me look bad.
On the one hand, it's a small minor thing, an update (a very small correction to her degree designation) on the school's website that I do as a side contract, totally NOT part of what I do at the school.
On the other hand..... I really fucking hate this kind of back-stabbing bullshit. It irks me immensely.

- email the principals with the facts?
- confront her with a calendar so she knows the difference between September 5th and October 26th?
- advise her tactfully that she has used her only "get out of jail free" card, and perhaps in future she may want to rethink this kind of shit?
- let it go?

- let it go, but bitch and moan about it in my blog until I'm suitably vented?
confront her - well armed with the facts and with a professional attitude. You are loath to take her inaccuracies to the principals, however her inaccurate statements have put you in an uncomfortable position.
You are SURE she will want to rectify her mistake before you bring it to their attention yourself.

Always charge baby. If your doing the website as an hourly gig for the school.. smile, show the principle that she sent you the wrong thing or whatever, and then CHARGE CHARGE CHARGE!!!
