Taken from Quotegarden.com:
"The poker player learns that sometimes both science and common sense are wrong; that the bumblebee can fly; that, perhaps, one should never trust an expert; that there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of by those with an academic bent." ~David Mamet
(And that 72 offsuit (sorry, Biggestron) and pocket twos (sorry, Weak) can win big hands if played with the right reckless abandon.)

"Cards are war, in disguise of a sport." ~Charles Lamb

My fav:
"God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e., everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time." ~Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, Good Omens, 1991

"I believe in poker the way I believe in the American Dream. Poker is good for you. It enriches the soul, sharpens the intellect, heals the spirit, and - when played well, nourishes the wallet." ~Lou Krieger

AWESOME job yesterday, Kat.
Byron's comments about losing to the Hammer are rediculous in my opinion. If I'm going to lose anyways, I could ask for nothing more than to be busted by the Hammer. Very well played throughout, including fighting your way back from multiple times when your goose looked cooked. It was a pleasure and a thrill to rail you while you performed so well.
Maybe we can do another sng one night this week. That is, if you deign to play with people who finish in 66th place in blogger tournaments like me.
Nice job last night. Great run...at one point I noticed you were 41 out of 41.
I think you gotta brush those comments off, everyone has tilted...hard and it seems like maybe these are one of those times...?
Anyway, great finish...see you around...
