- some enlightenment. Sometimes it creeps up on you slowly, and sometimes it's like a whack on the side of the head.
- some validation. Everyone needs it now and again. Even kickass biker chicks.
- my friends. Goddamn, you guys rock. Whenever I feel particularly doubt-ridden and insecure, I look at these people and think, if these chicks think I'm ok, then who am I to argue?
- my motorcycle. Or rather what my bike enables me to experience. Those of you that ride know what I'm talking about.
I know what you are talking about. When I still had my bike, my brother and I would "ride around the lake."
We lived in a small town on the Mississippi river here in Minnesota. There is a widening of the river just south of us called Lake Pepin. On beautiful days, we'd ride down the western side of the river, cross a bridge somewhere south and then follow the river back up the eastern side.
