****

Out 12th of 78, when Iak's silly pocket sixes held. In this crowd, 12th is pretty damn ok in my estimation. Pleased with how I played, even the above hand.

Next game I'm going to slip the tournament director some dosh to make sure I'm not seated with Iak again.

Probably. But Ick is a tool AND a moron and he could not play his way out of a wet paper bag. I always see him going in with the worse of hands and getting lucky. He has no skillz. Just a pretty boy with everything handed to him.

waffles is of course losing it...we're looking into therapists tomorrow...

it's a very interesting hand i think kitty. It all depends on what kind of range you put me on.

I would have very very likely folded my hand if you pushed the flop (remember I was in position). I play against you a lot and have a decent handle on your bet sizing tendencies (although you burn me from time to time). I felt sure I was ahead or running even. I also felt confident you would fold to a push. I was wrong, but I knew that if you didnt I was in very good shape with an over and a big draw.

Your hand is a great hand to push the flop for the same reason mine is a good hand to push. You will fold out a lot hands that are ahead of you (midsized overpairs or people who caught a piece of the flop), but the ones that call you, big overpairs and sets are vulnerable to your nut flush. So for what it's worth most times in your position I push that draw on the flop, but I would think hard about calling with it because you have no fold equity at that point and are banking on me being full of crap or you hitting your huge draw.

I can definitely see situations where I call that push too, but usually against smaller stacks that wont cripple me to be wrong.

Keep in mind I am a tool AND a moron and can't play my way out of a wet paper bag. Just ask Bayne.

    XOXO

I don't think you fold, as you and Ick are sharing outs, and your outs are better, but I would have taken control of this hand preflop with a re-raise, then a c-bet of a decent size on the flop. 900 not near enough for the 2000+ that was in there already. But I don't play tournaments, so what do I know.

And happy late birthday! How does 30 feel? Love ya!

    Bet your hand.

You should have raised pre-flop, and you shouldn't have bet 900 into a 2050 pot after the flop with just a draw.

I've never lost a hand when all my opponents fold. Not once, ever.

Got to agree with rest. Remember when I told you to up the aggressiveness during the game? RAISE YOUR BIG SLICK PRE-FLOP. 800 isn't even 3x the BB. You didn't need to push necessarily, but a raise to 2400 could have done it.

Your 900 bet on the flop was weak as well. You either check there or raise at least 1/2 the pot... this case, maybe even 2/3 or the pot.

The call was maybe worthwhile based on your read of Iak. If you thought he had ANYTHING though and you were calling to chase the flush, then it was a bad move. As it turns out, based on his cards, it was the right move. You shouldn't have gotten to that point though.
